Ms. Amal Al Shamlan

Ms. Amal Al Shamlan is the first UAE national physiotherapist, having graduated from the College of Allied Health Sciences at Kuwait University in 1989. She worked for nine years as a physiotherapist with the Dubai Health Authority before earning her master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Cairo University. Following her postgraduate studies, Amal has been teaching physiotherapy at the University of Sharjah. In 2006, she joined Latifa Hospital as the head of Rehabilitation Services, gaining extensive experience in pediatric rehabilitation.

In 2013, Amal was appointed Director of the Dubai Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Center under the Dubai Health Authority, a position she held until the end of 2015. She holds a certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the South African Physiotherapy Association. Amal incorporates manual therapy, exercise, taping, dry needling, and postural correction in her treatment approach. Besides her clinical work, she serves as the president of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society and is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority.

Ms. Naima Saleh

Ms. Naima Saleh is a highly experienced senior physiotherapist and the second graduate physiotherapist in the UAE. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked at prominent hospitals such as Rashid Hospital and Latifa Hospital under the Dubai Health Authority. She earned her BSc in Physiotherapy from Kuwait University and her MSc from the University of Wales College of Medicine in the UK in 2003. Naima specializes in the treatment of orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions, with a focus on neck pain, back pain, and joint-related issues.

At Rashid Hospital, where she spent 16 years, Naima treated a wide range of conditions and played a crucial role in managing sports-related injuries. During her five years at Latifa Hospital, she provided specialized care for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions and developed expertise in post-operative rehabilitation for meniscal repair, joint replacement, fractures, and arthroscopic surgeries.

Naima was instrumental in establishing the Emirates Physiotherapy Society in 2003 and has served as a board member of the Emirates Medical Association. She has organized numerous courses and seminars to advance the professional development of physiotherapists. Naima holds several certifications, including Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Fascia Manipulation, Dry Needling, and Taping.

Dr. Wasim Labban

Meet Dr. Wasim Labban, a distinguished Physiotherapist with extensive expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences. Dr. Labban graduated with distinction from the University of Sharjah in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and further advanced his knowledge by earning a master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2009. He continued his academic journey with a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2024, while also obtaining a postgraduate Diploma in Manual Osteopathy with distinction from the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada in 2022.

Dr. Labban has enriched his professional career by participating in numerous local and international congresses, workshops, and courses. Among the courses he completed are the Human Dissection Course at Oxford University, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for the Upper Limbs at the University of Barcelona, and Diagnostic Imaging for Physical Therapists at the University of Alberta. He is trained in Fascial Manipulation (Levels I & II, Stecco Method, Italy), Clinical Neurodynamics (Upper and Lower Quadrants) by Michael Shacklock in Australia, and holds a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy from Manual Concepts in Australia. Additionally, he has achieved Level I & II certification in Dry Needling and Myofascial Pain Management with Optimal Dry Needling Solutions in South Africa.

Dr. Labban is one of the first physiotherapists in the UAE to utilize rehabilitative ultrasound imaging for treating pelvic and low back pain. He has made significant contributions to the profession by conducting workshops and presenting at international conferences. As a member of the Emirates Medical Association, he has served as the Secretary General of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society from 2009 to 2010 and as the Head of the Scientific Committee from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Labban is registered with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and is fluent in English and Arabic.

Licensed by both the Ministry of Health in Jordan and the Dubai Health Authority, Tasneem brings a wealth of experience from esteemed institutions such as King Abdullah II Hospital, Amman Center for Speech Language and Swallowing, and the Speech and Hearing Clinic at the University of Jordan.

Ms. Irene Intia

Ms. Irene holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the Philippines and has amassed 11 years of experience in the field. Her career began as a massage therapist at various private centers in the Philippines, specializing in Swedish, Shiatsu, and foot Reflexology techniques. In 2015, Irene brought her expertise to Dubai, where she initially worked at a health Center before joining our esteemed Center.
Throughout her career, Irene has enhanced her therapeutic skills with advanced courses in myofascial treatments, deep tissue massage, cross-fiber friction, neuromuscular “trigger point” techniques, and muscle energy techniques. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Education, Damascus University (2010), and received her RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in January 2022. Since relocating to the UAE in 2015, Ms. Nour has focused her extensive knowledge and expertise on supporting children with special needs, including those with autism, learning difficulties, and ADHD, by developing and implementing tailored treatment plans.

Sena obtained bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Faculty of Health Sciences in Yeditepe University,Turkey in 2013, and she is holding a master certification of Manual therapy and clinical exercise strategies in 2015.
Between 2012-2013 Sena interested in sports injuries and joined International Federation of Tennis Tournaments as physiotherapist and worked with elite tennis players in ENKA Sports Club in Istanbul,Turkey.After graduation Sena worked in several rehabilitation centers focusing pediatric, neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. She also took clinical and modified Pilates course by the end of 2015. Since 2017, she was working as a manual therapist and Pilates coach in musculoskeletal rehabilitation in Turkey.
