Ms. Irem Akinci
Ms. Irem Akinci is a highly skilled physiotherapist with a strong academic foundation and specialized expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports-related injuries. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Baskent University in Turkey in 2016, followed by a master’s degree from Hacettepe University in 2019. Her career began in a specialized orthopedics clinic where she focused on manual therapy, Kinesio taping, clinical Pilates exercises, therapeutic exercises, spinal manipulation, and soft tissue release techniques.
With a keen interest in sports rehabilitation, Irem has worked extensively with athletes from diverse disciplines such as volleyball, basketball, judo, and taekwondo. She has been actively involved in pre-season testing and training programs aimed at preventing injuries using advanced tools like the isokinetic dynamometer. Notably, in 2017, Irem served as the physiotherapist for the Turkish National Wheelchair Women Basketball Team, gaining valuable experience in adaptive sports rehabilitation.
